What you would like to accomplish:

• The creation of a Dataproc cluster with the "pd-standard" disk and the following intansce type:
  • instance_type: VIRTUAL_MACHINE
  • family: COMPUTE_OPTIMIZED
  • generation: GEN_3
  • cpu_vendor: AMD
  • architecture: X86_64

How this might work:

• Let a user create a cluster without the mismatch between instance type and disk type error
• This shold work like any other cluster creation
• Error in question [1]

• Specify supported disk type with the instance by using either of the flags in gcloud command:

--master-boot-disk-type or --worker-boot-disk-type
