It would be nice if we could specify our location :
As one location ( lat/long, or place name ), with desired value for radius ( or square dimension ) and grid density ( or grid scale), and API should return elevation data as a series of connected points along a grid ( mesh ),
that would visually correspond to 3D terrain around selected location that is a center of a grid.
Observe image attached to this message that was created by using elevation api and several " path " requests,
Grid shown at image is 10 by 10 Km and one square is 1 by 1 Km. Image shows an approximate terrain configuration of the part of the city in which I live.
This would be the form of the future request for the attached image
I think that this kind of request and adequate api response with elevation data would have great usability.
Just use Your imagination.
