Description
Problem you have encountered:
The customer mentioned that in AW by S3NS, they are unable to create a Dataproc Cluster on Compute Engine from the UI, as they are receiving this error [1], however it works using the gcloud command with the flag -temp-bucket. Additionally, they are unable to choose a temp bucket when creating the cluster from the UI.
[1]
Failed to create event log dir with 404 HTTP response code and 22 exit code. Bucket might not exist. Please check if the bucket name is correct.
What you expected to happen:
The customer expects to have the option to select a temp bucket from the GCP console when creating a Dataproc Cluster, however they are only able to select the staging bucket.
Steps to reproduce:
I attempted to create a cluster and, as the customer mentioned, there is only the option to choose staging bucket and no temp bucket, when creating it from the GCP console.
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
I consulted this documentation [1] where it is mentioned that the feature of specifying a temporary bucket from the console is not supported.
