Description
Hello,
I am interested in connecting to an on-prem MS SQL Server database with ODBC from a Cloud Run Function. I would likely use the python runtime and python packages like pyodbc and sqlalchemy.
I noticed that where the 18.04 image lists odbc packages (unixodbc etc.), the 22.04 image does not.
I wonder if there is a good reason we don't have access to these packages in 22.04, and if not, whether the team might consider adding them to the base 22.04 image.
I could build a custom environment using other google tools/services, but I imagine I'm not the only person who would like to connect to a database using ODBC from a cloud run function.
Many thanks in advance, and happy to provide further details.
