Whenever anything changes in network coverage (hsdpa turning on or off, 3g
connection being enabled or disabled) the music that is currently
playing(using the default player) freezes for a small but noticable amount of
time.

Easily reproducable and using flight mode fixes this.

Upgrade was never offered. I was offered directly Android 16. I can't
install Android 16 as I want to leave beta.

This is also happening with my Milestone from Italy, when i'm using WIFI 3G HSPDA or
GPRS while im listening to my MP3's it keeps skipping and skipping.

Please solve this bug for us by creating a small .apk or in 2.1 update the end of
March =)

I also have this issue on my Telus milestone in Canada, it seems to be worse when the
screen is off, perhaps some battery saving settings that makes the reception weaker
causing it to frequently switch modes.

I am also having the popping sound issue on a new unlocked Telus Milestone 2.0.1
running on the 3G Rogers Network in Canada. I bought this to replace the iphone but
on long car rides it's annoying enough to make you want to rip your hair out.
Turning Airplane mode on fixes the issue but now my device's primary function has
been disabled. This is a music player, not rocket science...

I now have a new Milestone, issue was resolved, I had a bad headphone jack, I would
consider complaining to Motorola.

Worked perfectly in 2.0.1 and 2.1update 1, on Telus.

I have a recent Milestone of Italian origin, 2.1-update1, still -very- annoying
hiccups. Only when traveling, so probably related to network/cell changes. I'm
considering returning the device, this could not even pass for an beta release,
Motorola has got to be kidding!

Had the same problem with my Galaxy S from Samsung (SprintPCS network). I owned an iPhone back in '98 and never had that problem. Unfortunately, I returned the phone because it seemed to me that either Android or the phone were not ready for prime time. But I've since noticed that the problem happpens for a lot of Android phones, so it appears the problem is with Android.
