When using MediaStore to capture, then crop an image (using EXTRA_OUTPUT to specify the image output URI), for some reason the camera is storing the uncropped image (both thumbnail and full size) in the camera's default folders under \dcim on the sd card. This happens regardless of whether a .nomedia file is present in the output URI directory. I thought that using EXTRA_OUTPUT was supposed to prevent the storage of the image in the camera's default location. Below is code to reproduce problem:
