Agree 100% with this! A battery indicator should diaplay on all ics phones!
rd...@gmail.com <rd...@gmail.com> #5
Agree 100% such a simple useful feature that shouldnt be missing!!
jr...@gmail.com <jr...@gmail.com> #6
Agree +1
an...@googlemail.com <an...@googlemail.com> #7
Instead of agreeing just star this, noone wants mail spam, people!
wi...@gmail.com <wi...@gmail.com> #8
Power in numbers people! Spread the word. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to get the number of stars way up on this issue! I'm sure that if we get the number of comments and stars up, Google might actually take some action!!
do...@gmail.com <do...@gmail.com> #9
Wow, I can't believe this hasn't been brought up before. It's so simply, yet so useful. Hop to it Google!
cb...@gmail.com <cb...@gmail.com> #10
Agreed. I may just root simple for this feature, nothing more. Need it now after coming from the OG Droid and Thunderbolt. . .
ji...@gmail.com <ji...@gmail.com> #11
no funciona
ba...@gmail.com <ba...@gmail.com> #12
FYI, I've started using Gauge Battery Widget. You can add the percentage indicator to the notification menu and the top left corner of the screen, opposite the normal battery indicator. I wish the stock one would do what I want, but for many, this may be a workable solution at least.

This a tacky way to do it. And uses the left corner of status bar. Tacky
and messy.
and messy.
ad...@gmail.com <ad...@gmail.com> #14
Maybe this has something to do with Apple's patents? ...nowadays you can get a legal patent for almost anything...which sucks bigtime... the folks there at the Patents and Trademarks Office should consider denying patents to common stuff... like, say, percentage indicators?... yet, this feature should have been there from version 0 of Android... big disappointment...
ck...@gmail.com <ck...@gmail.com> #15
Using a smartphone requires one to stay informed about their battery status. Why does Android not include the battery percentage indicator by default?
mi...@gmail.com <mi...@gmail.com> #16
I need battery status because i don´t know when it is low
he...@gmail.com <he...@gmail.com> #17
This should be added asap. The icon is pretty much useless.
vi...@critical-eye.com <vi...@critical-eye.com> #18
Absolutely agree.
ru...@gmail.com <ru...@gmail.com> #19
Agree too, this Feature really needs to be added asap.
po...@gmail.com <po...@gmail.com> #20
Don't write "me too". It's pointless. Star the issue and stop flooding us with useless comments. Thank you very much.
ha...@gmail.com <ha...@gmail.com> #21
FIX IT GOOGLE!!!your guys are GENIUS people and its not a patent problem..how does other OS have it..and google put it in the system part
jm...@gmail.com <jm...@gmail.com> #22
Same!
ri...@gmail.com <ri...@gmail.com> #23
It was what made me root in the first place.
Android is far preferable over iOS, but I miss having the percentage. Get in on this Google. version 4.0 and still no option for it?
(I personally use wallpaper clock or whatever now, but it'd be nice for the option.)

ja...@gmail.com <ja...@gmail.com> #24
Google, please add it. It's a good feature for us.
jo...@gmail.com <jo...@gmail.com> #25
Please do add this. It's silly that it hasn't been already.
ja...@gmail.com <ja...@gmail.com> #26
Please add this
ae...@gmail.com <ae...@gmail.com> #27
Surprisingly, it's added in Samsung note
vd...@gmail.com <vd...@gmail.com> #28
Even on Galaxy Note with separate percentage icon added, the old battery sign is still there. It can be great just to have one icon with battery percentage.
ra...@gmail.com <ra...@gmail.com> #29
Please add this - if it wasn't for the useless stock battery indicator I probably wouldn't bother rooting my phone.
bl...@gmail.com <bl...@gmail.com> #30
Yes this is annoying. You just have to look how many battery percentage widgets exist on Google Play to see that it's a need for a lot.
A good way to indicate it could be like in the CM9 ROM. To be able to choose between the battery icon (like now) or to add the percentage just next to a little "battery bar" in replacement to the normal battery icon
