Description
This tool cannot run on my Mac with an M2 Apple silicon chip (arm64 / aarch64 architecture). At best (using x86_64 JDK 8 from Oracle, Rosetta doesn't make a difference), the window will open, but will be completely unresponsive.
I tried downloading new swt.jar files (/Users/myusername/Library/Android/sdk/tools/lib only has x86_64 and x86 versions, I downloaded an aarch64 version and added it to this folder), using different JDK versions (including Azul Zulu ARM64 JDK 8 and 11), and using Rosetta (an application compatibility layer between different instruction set architectures). Nothing works.
I think uiautomatorviewer needs to be compatible with a new JDK Version (apparently nothing over JDK 8 works) and needs to be compatible with aarch64 swt.jar files to display the UI.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Get a Mac with an Apple silicon chip
2. Run `uiautomatorviewer` in the terminal (if added to .zshrc / PATH correctly), otherwise run `./uiautomatorviewer` in the folder it lives in (I forget)
3.
