Hi there,
I'm having trouble viewing Unicode Tamil Characters in my new nexus phone
I have already changed the encoding to UTF-8 in the browser settings
eg:http://www.bbc.co.uk/tamil/
This is really embarrassing as I did not have any issue viewing them on my iphone
Thanks,
Faheem

Something must have gone wrong during first launch.
Since HAXM had installed correctly on a machine I tried earlier today, I
decided to try starting over to get HAXM installed:
a) Delete 'Android Studio' from the Applications folder
b) Extract a fresh/clean 'Android Studio' from the mac zip download
c) Move 'Android Studio' into Applications folder
d) Right click 'Android Studio' and select 'open'
Unfortunately, the error remains. So, perhaps there are two issues here:
1. As mentioned above, installing HAXM package from SDK manager doesn't
actually install HAXM -> super confusing
2. When initial install goes awry, deleting 'Android Studio' and
re-"installing" it does not cause the full initial installation to happen
* Perhaps the initial installation process should write out a
confirmation file *at the end* of the installation process, so
that a partial install does not result in a partially broken
environemnt

We still have to hack our way into the kingdom. Been at this computer dev for 35 years and nothing has changed. Used to be a developer could burn calories getting an application distributable and servicable. The passages are now even more twisty.
In the time it took to get to this point I had in a previous session developed my same app in 2003 for an HPIpaq in powerbuilder. Delivered next day after written and pushed to device. Ran flawlessly. I got a bad feeling about this next session. The era when computers would automate society is long gone. Now they create work for the uninitiated.
I followed the instruction in this post and received the same situation.

Please support Tamil fonts in android, I am also waiting for Tamil fonts in my Nexus one, this is a serious drawback for me because most of my browsing and my friends Tweet are in Tamil, and my friends using iPhone are able to view the tamil font without any issues. please include this font.
Thanks

Please provide support for Tamil fonts in the Android. This is really embarrassing to say that Android does not support tamil font whereas iphone is able to support. This would tempt android user to switch to iphone especially with new iphone4 now.
