When adding a new gradle project as a module from a different directory (Using File -> Project Structure -> +). Android studio will always copy all source codes from the other project into the root directory of the current project. (See attached screenshot)

There is no option to include multiple projects in one edit window. As shown in

Please make it a feature in future release

Hi, sorry it took this long to come back about this issue.

If I understand the request correctly, composite build is what should help achieving this.

I will be closing this bug now but let us know by the comment if this does not help.
