Could you explain a little bit more about what your end problem is (without worrying about the pros and cons of the current solution)?
It sounds like you want to give all views saved in different layers to your designer? For what?

Sure, UI department uses it for redesign layouts. Uses same icons, colors, components which we have developed in Android and they doesn't have them in their design software.
Why? Because we used it before (on some chinese android device which enable download all layouts over Android Device Monitor > Hierarchy View > Capture document to photoshop), and because UI department want PSD files from us...

I think it's a feature that we should keep in the layout inspector -- the export should be relatively easy to add I believe.
Description
Build #AI-145.3253452, built on September 7, 2016
JRE: 1.8.0_76-release-b03 amd64
JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o
OS: Windown 10 x64
Steps to Reproduce:
- Android Monitor > Layout Inspector
- Want to export views to DNG for our UX/UI person, there is no way.
Before in Android Device Monitor > Hierarchy View > Capture document to photoshop. This function was pretty cool for get a complete layout for redesign....
So WHERE is this function? Using ADM is deprecated and it's not possible capture hierarchy on non-developer phones, so... How I can do this?
