Description
Steps to reproduce the problem
Problem Description
Newly opened instances of Chrome or Edge on Android ignore the OS's contrast setting. They start responding to the contrast setting only after switching to another app or minimising the browser, and then switching back to the browser.
I made a minimal page to reproduce the bug athttps://baglieg.neocities.org/test
This page should have blue text when @media (prefers-contrast: more) is active.
This bug is present in current stable Android versions of Chrome and Edge. This bug is not present in Android Firefox; Firefox handles @media (prefers-contrast: more) correctly on the first attempt.
Summary
@media (prefers-contrast: more) doesn't work on newly opened Android browser, works after minimising
