This issue is for the Android Gradle Plugin, but the web UI won't let me create issues for AGP.

DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL:

I see an unhelpful error when adding AGP to a Gradle project.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Add id("com.android.library") version "8.7.0" to a project
2. Run Gradle sync.
3. See an unhelpful error "> compileSdkVersion is not specified. Please add it to build.gradle"

Issues:

• The error doesn't say where it's coming from. It doesn't mention 'Android' at all. How would a completely new developer realise that this problem is related to AGP, and not Gradle? Suggestion: Prefix the message with 'Problem configuring Android Gradle Plugin'.
• The error doesn't say which Gradle subproject has the error. Suggestion: Add the project name in the error, e.g. "Please add it to the build.gradle in : (root project)"
• How do I configure this property? Just adding it into my build.gradle.kts results in an error: Unresolved reference: compileSdkVersion. Suggestion: add a small code snippet in the error to demonstrate.
• When I google 'compileSdkVersion' I don't see any useful results. Even is the property is deprecated, then I would like to see an official explanation on the Android docs, not some random StackOverflow answer.
