One of the issues I experience with Android Studio is its constant habit of "trashing" projects on opening.

"Trashing" means on opening a previously functional project it reports hundreds of errors. This has been reported and issue 372753050 is my most recent issue report

After sending the attached Log to the above open issue I was asked to create a new issue because in addition to reporting hundreds of errors in the .kt file, it also trashed the .xml layout. Specifically it ignored the constraints and placed all items included in the layout in the top left-hand corner
