Description
When moving an email between labels (folders) using an IMAP connection in the Gmail via IMAP, the email is duplicated instead of being moved. After the operation, the email appears in both the original and the target label, with both labels applied to it. This was not all emails and viewing the RAW data did not seem to show a correlation.
Steps to Reproduce:
Connect to Gmail via IMAP using the Gmail API. Select an email in one label (e.g., “Inbox”). Attempt to move this email to another label (e.g., “Archive”) using the MOVE command in IMAP. Check both the source and destination labels in the mailbox.
Expected Behavior: The email should be removed from the original label and appear only in the target label.
Actual Behavior: The email appears in both folders, duplicating it with both labels applied.
Additional Information:
This issue was verified using both the 360Works Email plugin and Mozilla Thunderbird as IMAP clients.
