Description
In Looker Studio Pro, when I connect Looker models into Conversational Analytics (Gemini), it cannot use the
Filter-Only Fields
columns, since it only recognize columns underDimensions
andMetrics
. After 4 weeks of iteration with Google support team, they said it was a lacking feature and ask me to come here to ask for help. This was the interaction with Gemini when I ask about 'Filter-only Fields':
Me: "Ok. So my schema has only
Dimension
andMetrics
, is that right? Because my Looker model also contains a group ofFilter-only Fields
and I am understanding that you cannot even identify it."Gemini: "You are correct, the table schema I have access to only includes information on 'Dimension' and 'Metrics' fields. I don't have information on 'Filter-only Fields' from your Looker model."
Me: "So how come I can make you understand and identify
Filter-only Fields
?"Gemini: "Unfortunately, I can only process the information present in the table schema provided to me. If 'Filter-only Fields' are not included in the schema, I won't be able to identify or understand them."
Attached are the
Available_Fields....png
that appears in the right-hand side of the page when in Conversational Analytics.Data...png
presents all the Field-only Fields, Dimensions and Metrics, which however Gemini cannot identify and use Field-only Fields. This is the interaction when asking about it:
Me: "When I click in "View Fields" under the Data menu on the right-hand side of this conversation it leads me to a Looker Studio page where i shows all Filter-only fields, Dimensions and Metrics. But why you cannot identify the Filter-only fields?"
Gemini: "I understand you can see those 'Filter-only Fields' in the Looker interface. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to interact with the Looker interface or access information outside the table schema you provided. If 'Filter-only Fields' are not represented as columns in the table, I won't be able to identify them."
