Components Used:

• Baseline profiles (version 1.3.3)
• Bundletool (version 1.17.2)
• Profgen

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Generate the baseline profile for the nowinandroid project using the included StartupBaselineProfile#generate benchmark test and include both startup-prof and baseline-prof into app/src/main/baselineProfiles.
2. Build the app bundle:

   ./gradlew :app:bundleDemoRelease
   

3. Extract the universal APK using bundletool:

   bundletool build-apks --mode=universal --output-format=DIRECTORY --bundle=app/build/outputs/bundle/demoRelease/app-demo-release.aab --output=./
   

4. Unzip the APK:

   unzip universal.apk -d universal
   

5. Use profgen to dump the profile:

   profgen dumpProfile -a ./universal.apk -p ./universal/assets/dexopt/baseline.prof -o ./dump.txt
   

Expected Behavior:

The profgen tool should successfully dump the profile without errors.

Actual Behavior:

An exception is thrown indicating that the profile header is not compatible with the Dex header.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalStateException: Profile header not compatible with the Dex header.
