Thanks for the report. I will route this to the appropriate internal team and update this when I hear back from them.

One more detail, Data Layer event calls from the watch to the phone (running Android 13) do work on if the listener is in an Activity or Fragment.

Also, I'm seeing this message in the Logcat:

Description
On the latest version of Android I cannot find any way to adjust microphone input gain. This is not a problem with the built in microphone, but for external mics, sensitivity can be so high that audio gets distorted and must be cleaned up in post processing. On a regular Windows, or Linux desktop there is a means to adjust Mic levels, I assume MacOS as well... but I can find no such adjustment in Android.
Since so many content creators are using their Smart Phones, particularly Android devices, this would be a VERY highly appreciated fix.
For reference device is a Google Pixel 8 Pro, running latest release of Android 15, same issue noted with much earlier version of Android on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
Microphone in question is PQRQP 3 in 1 Wireless Microphone USB Type C, but had same results with Sportkee Dual Wireless Lavalier Microphone adapted to USB Type C, and on the Note 9 3.5mm audio jack.
