Now, if we create markers like this using the map style ID it states custom markers can't be used if you use a map id, but if we use simple JS and try to use the styling, the custom markers work fine but it states we need to use the ID if we want to style it... basically we're stuck with either : use the default marker's pin if you want custom styles or use default styles if we want custom self-hosted marker

@r22, I think Jeff is referring to the ability to split popular times by day of week in the information released by the API, not the currently existing web GUI.
Maybe the info appears as a nested object? e.g. "popular times" > "day of week" > "hour of day" > traffic count

Using the old method with JSON, we could customize the map pins using JS, but now using the cloud based styling there is no place to upload or swap the design of the current map pin
