I understand that you now want us all to use the unbelievably verbose Compose layouts - but when it comes to multiple complex layouts it is far simpler to use XML.

Unfortunately the latest version of the XML layout tool is so full of bugs that it is rendered virtually useless

From not showing the entered layout unless you switch to another view and then switch back, with Refactor performing the name change and then immediately prompting to change it back and then there is this issue - you can't select items in the view

As the attached video shows as I try to scroll to an item to select it the entire view scrolls up and down OVER the layout ???

PLEASE restore the old XML layout tools which actually worked because these new tools make layout creation and editing impossible
