The Spotify media player in Google Maps doesn't load the artwork for the current track.

The images are loading correctly in the browse screen, so we don't think it's a problem within the Spotify SDK, but if there's anything we can do to help, please let us know.

This has been reported here

https://issuetracker.google.com/382532577 and they mentioned that they already have an internal bug but we don't have access to it, so I'm creating this ticket here so we can track the issue.

This bug could be impacting license agreements with record labels.

Would it be possible to know the state of this issue?

Yes please :) Along with a more specific definition of how the Popular Times are determined (how much history? done by mobile device activity? check ins?)
