Issue summary: I saw broken, discontinuous segments when I tried to view the dataproc cluster node numbers in cloud monitoring and i want to know the reason behind those gaps.
work done: Issue was investigated from monitoring end as well as dataproc. The product engineering team has informed that the gap is by virtue of design and they are currently working on it to resolve the issue.
