Description: Since the Cloud function we are using is having very minimum code deployed these base images are creating unnecessary vulnerabilities. These issues were mostly related to known vulnerabilities in the Ubuntu base image, many of which were unrelated to our Cloud function’s specific needs.
The Cloud Run function is built using a full Ubuntu base image that contains many unnecessary dependencies for our use case. Unfortunately, Google Cloud does not currently offer a minimal or scratch image option for this purpose
