To prepare Dolby AC-4 roll out to future devices and services, Android would need to extend its facilities to signal AC-4 content and report device decoding capabilities so that app developers can facilitate AC-4 content consumption on end user devices.

AC-4 Level 4 changes have been merged to AOSP for the audio framework, whilst corresponding media framework changes are still in review stages with Google and are still in-flux. See https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/266537650 for previous issue regarding AC-4 level 4.

This issue aims to extend support beyond AC-4 level 4 to AC-4 levels 5 to 7 to the Android SDK for both media and audio frameworks.
