DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL: Using BuildConfig values within code warns in the IDE that values are always true/false and it also blocks committing code using the IDE's built in version control. Turns out this is an intended behavior for some reason, but the problem is that there is no official way to suppress this warning. See this ticket for further reference.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Create a project with debug and release variants
2. Have a code that checks if its debug or not
3. See the warning in the IDE about the BuildConfig.DEBUG always being true/false
