Description
Dear Android Developers,
I am writing to request a new feature for the Android Messages app (or a standardized Android messaging API) that would greatly enhance message forwarding capabilities. Currently, forwarding multiple messages is a time-consuming process. I propose two related enhancements:
* Bulk Message Forwarding: Implement a "Select Multiple" or similar function within the Messages app, enabling users to select multiple SMS, MMS, and RCS messages within a conversation thread and forward them all at once to one or more recipients. This would significantly streamline the process of sharing related messages.
* Forward All Messages in a Conversation: In addition to bulk selection, I propose an option to forward all messages within an entire conversation thread with a single action. This would be particularly useful for sharing complete conversations. This could be implemented as a separate option alongside the "Select Multiple" functionality, perhaps accessible through a long press on the conversation or within the conversation's details.
These two options, bulk message forwarding and "forward all" for a conversation, would provide users with flexible and efficient ways to share message content.
As a senior mobile developer (Zero), I believe these features would be valuable additions to the Android platform and greatly appreciated by many users. They would significantly improve the user experience and address a common frustration with the current message forwarding process.
