DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL: Whenever we are building the project and a module that either changes the Gradle configuration, or is a module shared by many upstream projects (like 40+ upstream compilations), the IDE slows to an unusable state. Autocomplete, navigation, anything all freezes and I am unable to use the IDE frequently due to CPU pressure. However other applications work flawlessly. Android Studio shows spikes of 400% CPU Vs Gradle which has a lesser amount of CPU.

Let me know what I can help attach to understand the issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Use large repo of few hundred modules
2. Change a lower level module at the core level with many depednencies
3. Build app and try to navigate code and IDE.
