Google Assistant doesn't currently offer the ability to change its wake word. Recognizing a wake word reliably is a complex task. Google has invested significant resources in optimizing the existing wake words ("Hey Google" and "OK Google") for accuracy and performance. Implementing custom wake words would require to develop and maintain a system that can accurately recognize a potentially infinite number of phrases, while minimizing false activations and ensuring consistent performance across different devices and environments. Description
I have a cat and I call him Bubba even though his name is Bobby. Every time I say, "Hey Bubba," my Google thinks I'm speaking to it. I want to change Google Assistant's name to something that sounds nothing like my cat's name. This is a feature that Alexa offers and Google should be way ahead of the competition. Please fix it.
