Users are using Vertex AI Agent builder for their use case, they tried creating a datastore Sharepoint connector. They were able to import file formats like .xlsx, .pptx, .pdf, .docx and .txt but they were not able to import file formats with extensions .csv, .doc, .xls and .ppt.
After checking internally CSV file format is not supported at this time.
How this might work:
Users would like to have a Feature request to support CSV format files , since CSV format files are a majorly used format for documents.
I would request the product team and the concerned team to prioritize the request and roll out the support of CSV formats with third party connectors in Agent builder to meet users requirements and in order to fulfil their use cases.
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
Users can use the TxtMimeType instead of the CSV format. If their content contains tables, they could consider converting it into a PDF file format.
