What steps would let us observe this issue?
1. Use 3 buttons navigation (back, home and open apps).
2. This bug has occurred in many different apps. For this report I choose Android Photos. Open the app.
3. In the app, open any photo.
4. Go back using the Android back button on the bottom left side of the screen.
5. Usually, this action returns me to the previous view in the Photos app. Sometimes it returns to the desktop (minimises the app).

What did you expect to happen?
Same behaviour every time from Android back button (except for use cases, where there is no more Activities or views to return to, or other custom actions left).

What actually happened?
The back button minimised the app, while it still should have done "back action" in the opened application.

How often has this happened?
Occasionally

What was the effect of this issue on your device usage, such as lost time or work?
None - device worked normally
