I had the same problem!
I could solve it by putting the .aidl file in an aidl directory.

Description
How this might work: If we require a larger machine type in a particular zone and if it's not available. For example, "g2-standard-64" is not available in the "asia-south" zone. In that case, using the GKE swap memory on "g2-standard-12" and "g2-standard-8" machines will overcome this limitation.
Other information : As checked with the Engineering team, usage of swap memory on GKE nodes feature will be decided on a 'preview' release first before going GA.
