Hello — yes, I meant to report this as a Feature Request, but couldn't
figure out how to do so. You are correct, this is a suggestion from an end
user's perspective. Sometimes, when surfing the net from my Android phone,
when I get down to the very end of a page the Pull-to-Refresh icon appears.
It can be disruptive when I'm a few pages deep into something I'm looking
at, and it automatically refreshes because I accidentally pulled down too
far. So, it's not the end of the world, nor will this idea end world
hunger... it just came to me that instead of automatically refreshing, if
the icon appeared for a few seconds (giving users the option to click on it
to refresh, or wait for it to disappear if it was accidental), it might
alleviate this headache, as I'm sure I'm not the only person who has ever
had this happen.
Cheers!

Description
THE ISSUE:
Currently, the pull-to-refresh feature can be triggered unintentionally when scrolling, especially when reaching the bottom of a page. This can lead to accidental page refreshes, disrupting the user experience.
PROPOSED CHANGE:
Instead of immediately triggering the refresh action when the pull-to-refresh icon appears, display the refresh icon for a brief period (e.g., 3 seconds). During this time, the user can choose to tap the icon if they want to refresh the page. If no action is taken within that time, the icon will disappear automatically without refreshing the page. This would provide users with better control over the refresh action and reduce unintentional page refreshes.
This approach would give users time to make a decision before triggering a refresh, and it also offers a clear visual cue without disrupting their scrolling flow.
