What is the use case?
Is it for actual audio signals, such as music at a (very very) high sample rate? For internal piping of other signals?

Hi,
I'm working on a music player and some users have 384 kHz flac music files (and I found a label selling 784 kHz music:https://soundliaison.com/products/carmen-gomes-inc-ray ) and complained they cannot be played back. I told them it'll be downsampled anyway, but they just want to be able to listen to the audio without converting the file.

MediaCodec currently supports 192 kHz: "WAV, FLAC codecs, and extractors are updated to support 192 kHz"
Please increase this to 784 kHz or at least 384 kHz in a future Android version.
