Thanks for the post.
Google Maps web app (maps.google.com) is a different product from the Google Maps APIs.
You may report this via Google Maps’s ‘Send Feedback’. If not, you can check out this link on how to do it:
Description
In many cities, bus and tram stops can have the same name on opposite sides of the street. This situation can be confusing, especially for foreign users and tourists. Without sufficient information about their direction, users may end up waiting at the wrong stop. Suggestion Description: My suggestion is to add a visual alert for opposite bus stops on Google Maps.
When the user selects a stop and picks the wrong direction, the selected stop should turn red on the map, indicating that they are at the wrong stop. Once the user moves to the correct stop, the stop should turn green, and a checkmark (✔️) should appear next to it, signaling that they are at the right stop. This feature helps users avoid waiting at the wrong stop, saves time, and allows them to easily find the correct stop on the map. It would be especially helpful for tourists and those unfamiliar with the area.
Additionally, this feature makes Google Maps more interactive and user-friendly, as users can immediately confirm the accuracy of their selected stop with visual feedback. This feature would provide a more efficient experience for all users of public transportation systems.
My Professional Information: I am a software developer and you can contact me through my LinkedIn profile. I have experience working on projects involving Google Maps and map-based applications. I would be happy to contribute to the development of this suggestion.
