Description
1) What's the feature?
when adding an embedded url into a looker studio report you can use variables/parameters in the url string to pass additional information to the embedded webpage
2) How do you plan on using this feature?
This allows a lot of use cases:
- show additional info (for example glossary) in the looker studio where the type of information depends on a parameter that you can select
- show additional info based on some aggregated value
- easier custom visualisation using a webpage (by passing some aggregated result). (However this has probably its limits when only query params (get-params) can be used)
3) What's the impact that this feature will have on you or your business? (Time saved, new users, etc.)
There is no alternative right now to this, so the time saved is priceless. It will open up new use cases and helps the acceptance of looker studio in general.
And I believe the implementation is rather simple in comparison to what it would enable.
