I was hopeful that the release of API 18 (4.3) would have created a solution to this, unfortunately it includes version 3158130
Description
Chrome Version: 133.0.6943.142
OS: Windows 10 Version 22H2
What steps will reproduce the problem?
What is the expected result?
No problems.
What happens instead?
After some time, typing in all text inputs (in any browser tab or window) becomes extremely laggy (FPS below 1).
Additional information
Recently, I noticed laggy typing on some websites (and even reported it to them, assuming it's their problem), but after a while, I noticed it sometimes happens accross the whole browser. Some websites seem to be more affected than others (usually the heavier ones like messenger or trello board). At some point, I managed to track this down to some open network tab in the background, and whenever I notice the issue again, I usually find some forgotten network tab open somewhere.
I just want to mention that noticed performance issues with the network tab right after the option to record was introduced (and turned off by default). Keeping it recording seems to have gotten a lot more expensive compared to some previous version and there was a noticable slowdown in the dev tools and related tab when the network tab is recording for some time. That's quite unfortunate since I often need to investigate issues in development right when they happen without trying to reproduce them again, so I have keep it recording for long time. I'd welcome a possiblity to just keep it recording indefinitely without performance penalties, like it used to be.
