The reason behind this changhe is to make it clear and explicit that the Rebuild action does also invoke the clean action. This was part of the team's effort to make it easier to developers to understand what an action does base don its name in the menu.
We will keep track of this feedback for future discussions.

1. Describe the bug or issue that you're seeing.
Updated to Android Studio Meerkat | 2024.3.1 today, and the "Rebuild Project" option is missing from the Build menu. It was my understanding that it was originally intentional to remove both this as the "Clean Project" options, but then that change was reversed after the ensuing community feedback.
Just to be clear, both the Clean Project *and* the Rebuild Project menu options are essential for Android development. Please add this back in ASAP.
2. Attach log files from Android Studio
2A. In the IDE, select the Help..Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data menu option.
2B. Create a diagnostic report and save it to your local computer.
2C. Attach the report to this bug using the Add attachments button.
3. If you know what they are, write the steps to reproduce:
3A. Open the Build menu
3B. Observe that there is no "Rebuild Project" option
In addition to logs, please attach a screenshot or recording that illustrates the problem.
