I can only reproduce this on a particular (corporate internal) webpage. Other webpages are fine.
I'm hoping the attached trace may have clues, although I don't know how to read it properly. I skimmed it and nothing popped out at me.
I'm a web developer maintaining this internal webpage and want to know what to fix, if it is a problem with the code, but can't figure it out using the devtools or this trace. Perhaps you can say if there is any clue in the trace that I may have missed. Since I have only noticed it hanging when I do find in page though, I am thinking it may be a browser bug.

I see what looks like a requestAnimationFrame coupled with the IO thread running idle tasks which is almost certainly FIP going through the DOM. Is the rAF callback altering the DOM? Are there an unusual number of DOM nodes in general?

Description
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Load a particular internal page (sorry, I wish I had something more specific)
2. Use find-in-page feature
What is the expected behavior?
Works.
What went wrong?
It hangs the renderer process at 100% CPU.
I've attached a chrome://tracing trace. LMK what other info I can provide.
The Performance devtools don't even work to trace this as they freeze up too.
Did this work before? N/A
Does this work in other browsers? Yes
