I noticed that when I check reminders in the wear reminders app, they always show as snoozed.

M600 / Moto G3 here, same fault.  Super annoying as it means reminders can't be trusted to hand around until marked as done.

I'm having the same issue. Also recently updated to Android Wear 2, also getting snoozed emails/reminders marked as "done" without my doing anything.
 
If it's not fixed I'm going to have to move to a different reminder system. I cannot afford to miss reminders.

I hope severity and priority are higher = more important. This bug causes being late for meetings and missing email and bill reminders and thus both social and financial consequences for Google's customers. At the moment, the watch with AW2 is unusable unless you change your calendar and reminders to another service.

I have a nexus 6p and Huwaei watch running the latest 2.0 update.  Yes, reminders are marked done immediately when created and never come back.  Please fix...I've missed several important events due to this.

Same issue - Zenwatch 2. I have followed all 'advice to fix' and reset my watch 4 times in a few days. Android 2.0 has been a car crash for me.

Just FYI priority P3 is rather low, highest priority would be P0.
This bug is making one of the main Wear features unuseable but it seems Google is not taking this issue seriously.

Let me tell you an anecdote:
At a software developers workshop people were asked which one of the big players has the highest software maturity.
Google won, I laughed so hard.

While I agree with you, I'm a little concerned that razzing the developers working on this issue might discourage them from giving it the attention it needs...

Both my phone & watch have now had Google app updates & Android Wear app updates. Is this issue supposed to be fixed now? My watch, which has been switched off in a drawer most of the time since becoming effectively useless since the Wear 2.0 update, now when asked to set a reminder, simply says 'sorry, I couldn't do that'. (Even after restarting both phone & watch). Other commands work. If the answer is going to be factory reset the watch for the fourth time in the two weeks since updating to 2.0, I'll be about ready to give up on Android wear. Especially given that with 2.0 you have to laboriously install all your apps over again, rather than doing a self sufficient 10 minute sync like under previous Android Wear.

Issue persists for me as well after recent updates to Android Wear and Google apps.  (Polar M600/Nexus 5)

Just now I tested it on my Zenwatch. A reminder set on another device successfully was displayed on the watch & not marked as done,so the notification persisted on the watch & my other devices. Pity I can no longer actually set any reminders at all on the watch. Even if you word it differently... "OK Google, set a reminder..." "Sorry, I couldn't do that". Ho hum. One step forward, and two steps back!

That it's fixed with version 7.8. Anyone can confirm?

It is not fixed for me on 7.8.19.21. However, I only have that update on my phone (downloaded from APKMirror). If there's a corresponding update for the watch app, I haven't received it yet. Perhaps that's where the fix is, because it's still not working for me.

Hmm, the recent update to 7.8.22 seems to have fixed only recurring reminders.  Standalone reminders are still self-checking, so the fault still exists.  Please do what you did on the recurring reminders for everything else?

Same here. I got an update for the Google app on my phone and even got an OTA on my watch but normal reminder still automatically mark themselves as done.

Confirmed not working on LG Watch Style (2.0.0.163859794) & Google Pixel (7.1.2).  I rely heavily on reminders.  This watch is worse than useless if it's going to stealthily dismiss all my reminders as they come in.  Come on guys. This isn't even acceptable 1.0 behavior.

As a workaround, you can disable notification access through settings -> apps -> Configure apps (gear icon) -> special access -> notification access.  A better work around would be to just block the app responsible for sending reminder notifications.  I don't know what that app is, but I'm guessing it probably is responsible for more than reminders though.

Even worse: now 3rd party app reminders are also affected.
Seems that Android Wear is dying right now, most probably all the devs are working on Google Home instead.

This has also been broken on my watch for more than a month as least. Galaxy S7 OS ver. 7.1.1; Fossil Q Marshal 4147 Android Wear version 2.0.0.163859794; Google Play services 11.3.02

My current workaround: In Google Wear App -> Settings -> Block App Notifications, block "Google".  This blocks reminders.  It probably blocks other stuff too, but so far I haven't noticed any side effects for my usage style.

I'm having the issue with any RECURRING reminders from the Google app or Google Keep. One-off reminders don't seem to have the problem.
I'm running Android Wear 2.0 on a Fossil Q Marshal. I've tried this when paired with 3 different phones: a Nexus 6P, a Moto X 1st Gen, and a Samsung Galaxy S8+.

My zenwatch 2 updated  to 7.9.20.25 & is now working with reminders. Yay can use my watch again!

Confirmed working for me too. Tested twice. Minor observation,  marking done from watch clears it from the phone but not the watch. Marking done from the phone clears it from the phone and not the watch. Only way to get it off the watch is to swipe it away. Not a huge deal. Very happy it's working!!!

Seems close, but once a reminder is snoozed does not work for any resulting notification.

Reminders seem to be working so far, but Time To Leave cards still get auto-dismissed. Please do not close this bug until Time To Leave cards are fixed. Personally, I use those even more than reminders.

I tested snoozing a reminder for an hour on my phone. The reminder does not pop up again after the hour is up. It doesn't disappear from the Google Feed like it used to, but snoozing definitely does not work as expected.

Received the latest update to my G Watch R (7.10.26.25) and Nexus 5X (7.10.26.21) and Time To Leave cards are still broken. Reminders seem to be working.

This is completely breaking reminders for me. I basically can't use them anymore. If I don't see it immediately after the reminder pops up on the watch (Moto 360 v2), it's simply gone. I use Google Inbox, where it is automatically moved to the "Done" list.

This affects "one-time" reminders for me, as well as recurring reminders, making the whole reminder feature of Google Assistant completely useless.

It's kind of mind-boggling how a breaking bug like this could be live for so long... :(

Bug still very much active for me, fully updated Moto 360 v2 and Nexus 6P. All reminders automatically get directly marked as done. It's incredible that this basic functionally can be broken for this long.

Any Google employee want to take some time to explain why this bug still exists on our $100-$400 devices? You know, watches designed around the sole function of notifying users of notifications.

This issue is fixed in internal builds and fix will be available in future releases.

I am on the 'fixed' beta version. While notifications do persist now, complications in my watch faces in regard to unread notifications always read Zero, despite having notifications I have not yet read. Something is still a little wonky.

When you say it's fixed in internal builds, does that include the Time To Leave cards?

Recently updated to 2.0.0.167031085.gms and it seems fixed for some people (me: Moto G3/M600 - yes) but not everyone?

I'm getting a bit confused. Am I waiting for a new version of the Google app or Android Wear?

Huawei Watch Classic 2 and Pixel XL where. Same problem. All reminders show for a second then auto set to done and disappear.

Fossil Q Wanderer and Q Marshal both now don't auto dismiss but the snooze
function is broken. If I snooze on phone, it only reappears on the watch
and not the phone. Using Pixel XL on 8.0.

Set up a reminder via my watch this morning to remind me for something in 1 hour.

My watch vibrated, as soon as I looked at it, the reminder showed for a second, disappeared, and it wasn't in the notifications anymore. Wasn't on my phone either and I went into my Google Calendar - it doesn't show which tells me that it got marked as done.

Okay another update, still running latest oreo on my Google Pixel, and 2.0 on my Huawei Watch - set up a reminder last night using "okay google" on my phone for today at noon to grab keys.
Watch vibrated, reminder showed for a second on watch, disappeared - no longer in notifications, not on phone, not in google calendar - indicating that it got marked as done.

It seems like their current fix (in the beta version) is to simply block all Google App notifications from reaching Android Wear. I no longer receive reminders or time to leave cards at all on my watch. They don't get dismissed from my phone, but they're not on the watch! It's as if they implemented our unofficial workaround into the app itself. They keep adding features to the Google App, but can't seem to fix this issue. Unbelievable.

For about the last week my reminders are working well on Huawei Watch Classic 2 and Pixel XL.

Same here, reminders are working well on Huawei Watch 1st generation and Galaxy S6 phone.  I'm not on beta, hopefully it doesn't get pushed out as is.

Reminders are not being auto-dismissed for me now, but "time to leave" notifications for my calendar items are still completely broken. Also, any repeating reminders that I have set to "all day" cannot be marked as complete from my watch; opening the reminder returns the message "Reminder not found." (Pixel Phone paired with Fossil Q Founder version 2)

Can you please check whether do you have Google App v7.10 or later installed on your phone and every connected device [Wear]?

Just did a test and I take back my previous post, reminder notifications are not working on my watch... again.  How infuriating!

Instructions to capture Android Mobile/Tablet bug report:
After reproducing the issue, navigate to developer settings, ensure ‘USB debugging’ is enabled, then enable ‘Bug report shortcut’. To take bug report, hold the power button and select the ‘Take bug report’ option.

Instructions to capture Android Wear bug report:-
1. Make sure your phone is in developer mode, by going to Settings > About phone and tapping 7 times on the build number.
2. Launch the Android Wear app.
3. Open the menu in the top right corner of the app.
4. Tap  "Report Wearable Bug".
5. You should feel a confirmation vibration from your watch.   If you look at the card stream on the watch you will see a card with the text "Bug report  Collecting data..."
6. Once the bug report is complete you will feel two short vibrations on the watch.  You will also see a card in the stream that reads "Bug report captured.  Swipe left to share your bug".  Swipe left on this card.  Tap the Open button in the subsequent screen.
7. Return to your phone or tablet and open the shade. You will seen an entry that reads "Wearable bug report finished. Touch to send.". Touch this entry and upload the bug report and screenshot to google drive and share the folder to android-bugreport@google.com, then share the link here.

I'm not seeing reminders, time to leave cards, or any other notification from the Google App on my watch. In fact, when I try to run the "Your Feed" app on my watch (which is obviously part of the Google App), it crashes. I will reproduce the crash that happens after running the Your Feed app, and post the bug report.

The beta version WAS working, for most reminders. With the latest update it has stopped working for all reminders on my Zenwatch 2 & Galaxy S6. Why is this so hard for Google to get right? Is Wear 2.0 broken in some fundamental way?

Side-note: Since the issues I'm seeing related to dismissing "all day" reminders and not receiving "time to leave" notifications do not appear to have improved after the automatic dismissal of reminders was fixed, I would be willing to consider those to be separate bugs. @115 - They've said that it's the same issue. I think it's any notification sent from the Google App. Prior to Android Wear 2.0, I'd receive all kinds of notifications from the Google App in addition to Time To Leave and Reminders. I'd get updates for weather, traffic, commute times, stock prices, even news headlines sometimes. Basically, it was the entire Google Feed on my watch. All of those stopped once Android Wear 2.0 came out.

Just echoing what others are saying. An earlier beta fixed the issue, but now it's regressed, and the notification shows on the phone but not on the watch.

A new twist on the reminder notifications issue... I received a 12:00 PM reminder on my phone at 12:00 PM but on my watch at 12:15 PM.  Not the first time this has happened but also not consistent, sometimes the notification doesn't arrive on watch.  Google app version 7.10.35.21.arm64 and Android Wear version 2.0.0.167031085.gms, Galaxy S6 Edge phone and Huawei 1st generation watch.

... and it was marked as done!  Really?!?  This has been open for nearly 3 months now.  No one disregards and disrespects their users like google.

Well, since Android Wear 2.0 came out in February 2017 and this has been a problem since the beginning (as far as I can tell), it has actually been almost 8 months.

The "Your Feed" app no longer crashes when opening on Android Wear 2.0, and more importantly, reminders appear to be working! However, Time To Leave cards are STILL automatically dismissed. I learned this the hard way because I was late to a meeting after I forgot to disable AW notifications from the Google App.

Google, please do to Time To Leave cards whatever you did to Reminders.

Want to reiterate again since others are saying otherwise:

Reminders are NOT working as expected. The first notification works fine, however once snoozed the subsequent notifications are auto-dismissed.

My apologies, I haven't tested snoozed reminders yet.

Reminders still messed up in that if you mark a recurring reminders done on AW watch then all future reminders are also marked as done. Also Time to Leave notifications on watch trigger way too early and cause the event to be dismissed from Google Feed.

This issue has somewhat returned to me. Today I noticed that reminders are yet again getting automatically dismissed on both my phone and my watch when my AW watch is connected to my phone, however now they are not getting marked as "done". While this is better than the original issue, this had gone completely away for a while and now another issue has come about. Considering this issue isn't "immediately marking as done" and rather just dismissing the notification, I may create a new issue. I'd like to hear if anyone in this thread that had the issue resolved is now having problems again.

Is there any sort of updated timeline for a fix on this issue? Reminders are still not consistently appearing or dismiss-able from the Wear interface, and "Time To Leave" reminders are now completely AWOL from both the Google app and Wear.

Similar experiences as mentioned above.  On Android 8.1 beta 1, wear v2.6 Huawei watch 1.

Recurring reminders don't show up in the watch notifications.  If you go to reminder app and dismiss, it dismisses all future occurrences. This is as of 1 week ago today.

OK.  Does this site really work?  Is google paying attention.  Moto z Force with android wear watch and no fix with reminders.  I'm no IT guy but this seems pretty simple considering what they do now days.  At least give some knowledge that they are working to fix this.  Android wear will disappear and will go to sammy for my watches.  smh

Thanks for the updates. We released a fix for this issue in Google App v7.10 or later. Make sure that Google App is updated on your phone and connected wear device.

Back on the reminders issue...
I verified that the issue of recurring reminders getting marked done simply by clearing the reminder notification on the watch is not yet fixed.
Steps:
1.Create a recurring reminder. This can be all day or at a specific time, doesn't matter.
2.Get the reminder to fire on the watch - which, as mentioned in #137, may take several minutes.
3.Clear your watch notification(s)
4.After a couple minutes you'll see the reminder is now marked as done

My device specs:
Phone: Pixel2XL, Android 8.0.0, Google app v.7.19.20.21
Watch: Wear v.2.9.0.182823779, Android OS 7.1.1

Comment #143 - What would you expect the behavior to be when you dismiss the reminder on your watch? I would expect that dismissing it marks the reminder as done. If it's a recurring reminder, dismissing it on your watch should mark the current occurrence as done, and the reminder should pop up at the desired time again the next time around. This behavior makes sense to me. They could improve UX by adding actions when you tap on the reminder on your watch: 'mark as done' and 'snooze 1 hour.'

In my testing of reminders yesterday, I saw the same erratic behavior described in comment #137 and comment #143. The reminder shows up on my phone on time, but doesn't show up on the watch for several minutes. The behavior is unreliable and erratic; how are users supposed to rely on these reminders? This is a significant defect, so this issue should be reopened.

In my opinion, the reminder should not be marked as done when the notification is dismissed; it's too easy to accidentally mark as done by clearing that or all notifications.  A definite action should be required to mark a reminder as done.  Having said that, I can live with the alternative as long as it behaves consistently.

Does anyone know the appropriate action to take on a reminder notification on the watch so that the reminder is not marked as done?  I'm still having issues with reminders being marked as done unintentionally.

Yes - no action. I believe if you swipe it away, it is marked as done. So I'd recommend not doing anything to it until you're ready to mark it as done.

Ok, so I shouldn't "clear all" notifications, but rather swipe away the others and leave the reminder(s).  Not ideal, not consistent with behavior on the phone, but I can live with it.  Thank you!
