We use build flavours heavily with a lot of common code. The refactoring support in AS is really good but it continually catches us out when it doesn't work across all flavours in a project. It's a big gap for serious product development.

Android Studio Version: 3.0 Beta 1
Emulator Version (Emulator--> Extended Controls--> Emulator Version): 26.1.3-4205252
HAXM / KVM Version:
Android SDK Tools:
Host Operating System: macOS 10.12.5
CPU Manufacturer: [Intel / AMD / Other] Intel
Steps to Reproduce Bug:
1. Upgraded from AS Canary 4 to AS Beta 1
2. Updated emulators and other tools
3. Ran emulator from toolbar
Expected Behavior: Emulator launches, then can be used
Observed Behavior: Emulator launches, the laptop froze, crashed, and rebooted. The OS asked me to report the issue to Apple. Have kept a copy of what was sent. Also attached a dump of emulator details.
Note: the emulator worked fine on the next run
