Hello. I use the Patterns.WEB_URL regular expression in my project to determine URL, for later downloading file on this URL. I recently found that if the URL contains square brackets (e.g. http://www.example.com/foo[bar].txt), then the following code returns false:

String url = "http://www.example.com/foo[bar].txt";
Patterns.WEB_URL.matcher(url).matches();

although this URL is perfectly correct. I wrote a regular expression that takes square brackets into the URL and it works correctly:

String myregexp = "^(https?|udp)://[-a-zA-Z0-9+&@#/%?=~_|!:,.;\\[\\]]*[-a-zA-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|\\[\\]]";

But I would like to use Patterns.WEB_URL and I hope that this defect can be fixed.
