It is only interesting not only for hiding pages under development, but to assign specific permissions for each page (one group of people could have acces to some pages of the report but not to all)
mp...@google.com <mp...@google.com> #3
Quick update: We recently launched the option to hide pages in view mode. If the page is hidden, it is hidden for all report viewers.
Please continue to add use cases and upvote this request to express interest in page specific user permissions.

Page specific user permission would also be nice for developing new pages.
Currently when I have hidden a page to develop something on it, it is impossible to set it in viewmode and see for instance how it reacts to different filter settings/date ranges without disabeling the hidden mode.
It would thus be nice to have all the capabilites from an unhidden page as a developer, but only restrict clients to view the page.

We need that! You should be able to choose which page the user will have access to. Especially for big accounts with several countries or several brands!

Now that we have permissions at the data source level (just rolled out today if anyone didn't see), being able to control access to pages would be a big UX improvement as well. It would also be great if this could be managed externally (e.g. Google Groups) similar to what you can do with sharing.
As mentioned, it isn't just to cover different (and often partially overlapping) needs for different users or departments, but also from a developer standpoint to be able to build and test pages without having to constantly hide/unhide them or work in separate reports and then have to move everything over.
This also supports the use case for external testing, where certain users can be given access for QA purposes.

This, but with the ability to grab the links to hidden pages and share those with specific people only, so they can see only that page of the report, not the entire report would be VERY useful.

Page specific permissions would be really helpful. Currently, if we have a report that we do not want all users to have access to all data, we have to create multiple versions of the same report and share each version with a specific user. This gets really hard to manage any report changes as there are so many different versions that require edits.

This would be extremely useful to me. Currently, I have 23 nearly identical reports, filtered to the exact person whose metrics they are about because we can't show people their colleague's metrics. Whenever we make a structural change to the report, I need to update 23 different reports. Would be great if I could just update one report one time and rest assured that people will only see their own metrics.

Yes, this feature would be great instead of creating and maintaining multiple similar but slightly different dashboards for different audiences

This feature will be useful since there are report audience who needs to see everything but there are also user groups who needs only specific pages. Hope this feature will be available.
Description
1) What's the feature? - Hide some pages to specific users in Data Studio Report.
2) How do you plan on using this feature? - I have a requirement for my report which makes me to delete some pages of the report structure. However, in the future, I might need to bring back these pages to specific users. So, I'd avoid to set up a backup version of my report.
3) What's the impact that this feature will have on you or your business? - Lots of reports (as much as backup versions), time saving.
