I know little to nothing about programming and little to nothing about Android Development and Android Studio. I am literally just starting to learn after using an Android for probably about 5 years. I have been on Android Studio less than 3 hours in total so this may be an extremely ignorant issue, I am sure I simply do not know where anything is, however, that is the root (ha!) of my problem. This should be easy to find, especially for us Noobies!
I have two 4k 28" monitors, 28" was too small on 4k resolution. When I use my monitors at their intended 4k resolution all the text throughout my entire computer is way too small to read at the distance I sit from my monitors. 1080p makes all the icons and all the font too large and my icons do not fit on one screen. I have found that 2560x1440 is a good general compromise between text size and resolution (you know what I mean). My problem is that in the rest of Windows I am pretty content with the overall text size of everything. In Android Studio, the majority of the right half of the screen when in "MainActivity.kt" (or whatever it may be) is largely empty and I would like to simply scale every word, everywhere, throughout the entire program up in actual text size. Where is this?? Where are the preferences or settings? I do not see anything under the dropdowns labeled File, Edit, View, Tools, Window, or Help, or any other for that matter. Control and "+" together doesn't do anything, I do not see anything when I right-click. I do not know where else this might be, I might be incompetent in Android Studio, I am not an idiot though. Hovered over all the icons, I do not know what to do next.
I mean I can understand if I am simply unaware of the location of setting like this, but why isn't this easy to find?
I just want the text size bigger so it is a little bit easier to read, that is it. It is frustrating that this appears hidden.
It looks like a lot of people have put a lot of work into this, I am so excited to start using this. I am amazed at how easy to use everyone has helped make this because it really does not look as difficult as I would have expected. This program feels like a lot of thought and development went into this.
