http://issuetracker.google.com/74051124 causes previous fragment to flicker when using custom animations. Since Navigation uses animations for NavigationUI.setupWithNavController(), Navigation should depend on 27.1.1 to ensure that the fix is included by default.

Marked as fixed.

You should just continue to use startActivityForResult+override onActivityResult in your Fragment - this wouldn't be part of your navigation graph.

I'd like to know more about what integration you were expecting and what you'd like to see.
