I would like to add the ability to read, create, update, and delete templates to my Gmail-focused email client for macOS,
What existing data would this new feature use/manage? Gmail already has templates, which seem to be persisted and exposed as Drafts. This feature request
Are you currently employing any workaround to overcome the lack of this feature? If yes, please describe it. None. The feature is simply not offered in Mimestream.
What is the impact on your workflow of not having this feature? Mimestream users have to leave the app and go to the Gmail web UI in order to use and manage their templates. These users enjoy using a desktop email client for convenience and system UI conformity.

I often need to respond to similar requests, and find it much easier to edit a response based on an existing template, which ensures I provide all information.

Logging into gmail on the web, using the template and saving as a draft, then going back to my preferred email client to edit. Or copying and pasting the template content. Or using a different email client with an inbuilt template manager.

Wastes a lot of time, conflicts in versions of templates between the alternate client and gmail.

Feature Request: Add API to create, edit, and delete a user's Gmail templates.

To allow 3rd party email clients to have UI to manage these templates.
