Thanks for the update. Can you share the bug reports from phone and wear device after reproducing the issue?
Instructions to capture Android Mobile/Tablet bug report:

Or
System Settings -> Developer Options -> Take bug report
Note:
1. You may need to tap 7 times on the Build Number in Settings > About <device> screen to turn on developer options
2. Please upload the bug report and screenshot to google drive and share the folder to android-bugreport@google.com, then share the link here.
Instructions to capture Android Wear bug report:-
1. Make sure your phone is in developer mode, by going to Settings > About phone and tapping 7 times on the build number.
2. Launch the Android Wear app.
3. Open the menu in the top right corner of the app.
4. Tap "Report Wearable Bug".
5. You should feel a confirmation vibration from your watch. If you look at the card stream on the watch you will see a card with the text "Bug report Collecting data..."
6. Once the bug report is complete you will feel two short vibrations on the watch. You will also see a card in the stream that reads "Bug report captured. Swipe left to share your bug". Swipe left on this card. Tap the Open button in the subsequent screen.
7. Return to your phone or tablet and open the shade. You will seen an entry that reads "Wearable bug report finished. Touch to send.". Touch this entry and upload the bug report and screenshot to google drive and share the folder to android-bugreport@google.com, then share the link here.

Issue just started happening on Ticwatch E. noticed it right before new OSwear update went out to watch.

I still have this problem, where album art is not shown or its shown for some apps unlike before. For example I use to get album art on my lg watch using Black player EX but after WearOS updates I lost this feature unless I unpair and re-pair the device (which it never did before when media controls first came out).

Forgot to mention I'm using LG watch style

This works for me when paired to Android phone but does not show album art when connected to iPhone. It does not matter which application I am playing music from on my phone (I tried Music, Pandora, Spotify and Google Play Music) there is no album art for Now Playing complications which stinks because I like to use this for watch face backgrounds. Is this ever going to work on watches connected to iPhone? Just to clarify, If playing music on the watch with application that is on the watch such as Pandora, the album art shows up. If playing music from the phone on the application on the phone, the track information shows up but not the album art
