Any suggestions on where such an interface might live? I don't think it makes sense for the interface to be in the drawerlayout artifact if you're specifically going to use the interface to *not* use DrawerLayout.

androidx.customview would be a good candidate. This is used by all of the widget libraries.

Create an interface for layouts that can be opened
Create a common interface that represents layouts
that have two states: open and closed. This allows
higher level libraries to rely on the interface,
rather than concrete implementations such as
DrawerLayout, making them more resilient to
changes in the current recommended implementation.

Description
When a chart created on Spreadsheet is retrieved from Spreadsheet as a blob, it is different from the original one.
- A description of the issue:
The sample situations are as follows.
- Situation 1: Fonts are automatically changed when the chart is retrieved as a blob and created it as a file.
- Reference:
- Situation 2: 3D chart is automatically changed to 2D chart when the chart is retrieved as a blob and created it as a file.
- Reference:
In my environment, I have also experienced the same situations, and I saw the same situations at other environment. From this situation, I thought that this might be a bug. So I decided to report it here.
As a current workaround, I used the following flow.
1. Retrieve charts from Spreadsheet.
2. Create Google Slides as a temporal.
3. Insert the charts to Slides as images.
4. Retrieve the inserted charts as blobs.
By this, at my environment and other environment. it could confirm the retrieved blob is the same with the original one.
Sample scripts for this workaround are as follows.
