Tried to change to:

buildToolsVersion '29.0.0'

but still the same segfault.

Re: comment#6, could you try the attached librsjni_androidx.so to see if that fixes your issue?

Basically, you need to replace 32bit arm librsjni_androidx.so in the Build-Tools you are using, and rebuild the app.

I see that there is this 32bit arm library present on my build system:

/android/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20140702/sdk/build-tools/29.0.0/renderscript/lib/packaged/armeabi-v7a/librsjni_androidx.so

I assume that's the file I have to substitute, which will be included in the android app bundle.

Good news. The new 32bit arm librsjni_androidx.so fixed the problem for HUAWEI HUAWEI Y530-U00 Android 4.3, API 18.

However, the same error (judging from the backtrace) still occurs when testing on an Android device with x64 instruction set. The crash log can be found here:

I can test, if you upload a cross compile of your librsjni_androidx.so for x64 also. I don't have a device with x86 instruction set, but the bug might be present there also?

Thanks for testing it out. I will prepare prebuilts for arm / arm64 / x86 / x64 and upload here. Hopefully we can get this fixed in Build-Tools soon.

Attached should also fix the issue on x86.

Using the latest Build-Tools, this issue still occurs with Android 5.1.1, API 22. A workaround for this is to use ```android.renderscript.*``` instead of ```androidx.renderscript.*```
