The android project window spends a lot of time being updated/refreshed during a gradle synch. This became a noticeable issue with this last update of android studio. As the gradle synch is being performed that window is constantly be updated. I see closed folders open up and close and it just goes crazy. In the previous version, I never noticed that happening or it wasn't particularly noticeable. It may be that its caused by the various folders being automatically opened during the synch process. (Note: if you're trying to replicate this behavior, make sure to test it with a project containing multiple modules in it)
Even when the gradle synch finishes the Android project window can still keep on being updated or refreshed. When that happens, if I switch to the Project view window an then go back to the Android view window, that crazy updating stops.
This seems to only be a problem performing a gradle synch with the Android view window opened, If you have the Project view window open instead when you do the gradle synch it's well behaved.
