Note: also in LineairLayouts, elements are sorted by name which leads to unwanted order of elements.
Quick fix for now:
- Go to Android Studio Preferences
- Lift sidebar, Editor -> Code Style -> XML
- Click on "Set from..." -> Predefined styles -> Android

Workaround: Go to Settings > Editor > Code Style > XML, and choose Set From > Predefined Style > Android.

IMPORTANT: Please read
In XML file when I am formatting codes, all the tags are rearranged by their name, like ConstraintLayout is placed below TextView.
Also in Manifest file, formatting code pushes all permission tags below application tag.
This is happening after updating to 3.5.
